··Ωf Jury memberI have collected more than a few vintage divers over the years, and one of the companies that has remained somewhat under the radar is Rodania. Best known for their (now) wildly popular, elusive, and expensive Geometer chronograph, Rodania was a very popular brand in Italy during the '60s, and produced some very nice, high-quality divers.
The example that I am offering is in very good to excellent overall condition, and I believe it to be in original condition. I would say that it was manufactured during the '60s, but I cannot be more precise. It is a substantial watch on the wrist.
The somewhat uncommon style of case is both attractive, in my view, and well executed. It is unpolished, measures 36.5mm excluding the substantial screw-down crown, and the thick, faceted, downward facing lugs provide interesting contrast depending on the lighting. The crown is working correctly, and the bezel has just the right amount of tension.
The dial is a very attractive dark grey "sunburst" style, and the original tritium indices are intact. It is in excellent condition. The hands are in very good condition. The thick crystal has a few light scratches which could be polished out fairly easily, I believe.
Please note that the imperfections seen in the dial photos are almost all related to the crystal. The only flaws that I can see on the dial itself are some minor discolorations of the tritium indices that have occurred over time.
The 25 jewel automatic movement is working, and in excellent cosmetic condition. I do not know the caliber, but it could be based on an ETA 2472 (h/t @DirtyDozen12):

I do not know the date of the last service, and would, as always, recommend a service for regular wear.
I ask €575 (now $475!) including EMS shipping within the EU. I prefer a bank transfer, but Paypal is acceptable. Given the quality of this watch throughout, I would suggest that it represents very good value in the vintage market!
Feel free to ask any questions.
