·Hi there, I’ve owned this watch for about 10 years, it’s always been in my family and belonged to my great grandfather who was the original owner. He died well before I was born so I know very little about it. I have finally managed to get the case open and am now more intrigued than ever. Inside the back of the case is a number 7482357, and on the actual mechanism is 6994075. Google dates these to either 1923 or 1929, but I’m not sure why there are two different serials. It also states “15 jewels”. He was born in Australia in 1900, but spent a lot of his life in Denmark so I’m not sure where it was purchased.
I am hoping someone here can give me as much info on it as possible. Not looking to sell but I would love to know an approximate value.
I am also wondering about the small lever between the letters F and S. Is this a way to adjust between faster and slower? I’m too afraid to touch anything part from winding. It keeps good time.
