Hello OF,

I am looking at acquiring a vintage OP 34, I would like to ask your opinion on the dial and hands. Given the age of the watch these could have been swap. The watch is being sold for £2950 no box and papers.

From the pic, the dial looks OK, but it should be in top running condition at that price..

It's a sigma dial used from approx 1970 to the late 70's, so may be original but depends on the age of the watch. Agree that £3k is very much the top end for a fairly basic OP.

In this market, ALL Rolex models are overpriced by retailers, even simple Oyster Perpetuals. I was in a jewelry store in Sarasota a couple of months ago and they had quite a few smaller (ladies size) stainless OPs. My wife was interested, but the cheapest was $5000 and they were unwilling to negotiate the price at all.

I like the combination of the sigma dial and a no-date OP. Case, dial, hands and crown look correct. Bracelet also but looks verry loose to me.

I don’t like the price but that’s just my opinion.

Do ask for movement pics and a video so you can judge condition, in particular of the bracelet, better. At this price those things matter

I don't think it will be easy to sell at that price, the 34mm models are a lot less popular. With that budget, I would add 10% and look for a DJ.

You should check the serialnumbers, the (correct) bracelet (-lenght) and endlinks. On top: you dont see the side of the case to check if its polished...

Thank you all for your comment. I agree it’s overpriced but at the moment all Rolex seem overpriced.
