Hello all,

I've been going through a bracelet buying spree and picked up this oyster rivet bracelet from England. The brand on the clasp is "G & CO" but I am having difficulty finding information on the manufacturer.

The only source I could find on this brand was on this eBay listing:

"During early 40's Rolex sourced different vendors from outside Switzerland to get tariffs that were levied on fully complete watches. Bracelets suppliers such as WAB, Clewco (CY & Co.), Gay Freres, G & Co., Vertex, AGR, Cialco, Cromwell, JB Champion, Armstrong... they all fit in at that time."

I am not convinced of the Rolex association, given the finish quality. Some of the rivets have shear marks, others are rounded, and none of them are polished. The bubbles on the clasp are a bit untidy. There are also vertical striations on the clasp from when it was formed/stamped.

Can anyone confirm or provide additional information?

I am assuming it is early 50's given the watch that it was on was engraved 1953. It is equally enigmatic, made by a brand called "Netex." The case is English-made by Netonia and features a coin-edge caseback and what appears to be a Peseux cal 190 (or at least a movement related to the cal. 190, if someone could please confirm).
