Vintage (or Modern) Alternatives to the Omega Admiralty 135.015

I love the look of the omega admiralty 135.015 - and so does a coworker of mine. But I'm wondering if there are any aesthetically similar watches out there that are either 1) less expensive, 2) slightly more accessible for an entry level watch enthusiast.
Thanks!
Mike

Which aspects particularly attract you to the watch? Is it the military style dial, or the funky accents of orange, for example?

Yeah, it's the funky 70s racing hands (all 3), and the more subdued military style as well. Its like 40s dial, meets, 60s case, meets 70s hands.

A Dynamic III, maybe? I’ve just pasted the first relevant thread from a search - you’ll find many more here. Could be as close as you’ll get.

obviously a MkI Genève Dynamic gets the funky accents and groovy case (like the one on my avatar), but no military style dial. And there are cheaper, non-Omega watches with similar military dials to the Admiralty you cite in your original post above. But finding a watch which combines traits is tricky!

Won’t check all your boxes but if you’re looking for that particular style of hands combination on a much less expensive reference then a Geneve 166.041 or 135.041 might work for you. The latter being more preferable IMO with its non-date, manual wind movement. Dials are typically blue or black sunburst. These pop up not infrequently. Here’s mine:

Just to be a contrarian here. Prices are relative. If you love the OP watch, maybe you should step up and find a good one now, before prices rise further. Maybe $2k seems like a lot to you today, but a few years from now, you might regret a missed opportunity. Buying a second-choice substitute (or a lower condition example) rarely quenches my desire for a piece that I really want, and I can probably name a dozen watches that I wish I had purchased at a lower price when I was a newbie. Even though those prices seemed like a lot at the time.
