My late father owned an Omega with a green dial and a faceted crystal. Those two characteristics are the only things I remember of the watch, and then again my memory may be playing tricks on me. The watch had stopped working and my dad didn't have the money nor the wherewithal to repair it. Instead, it sat in a drawer for the longest time, and ultimately lost.

Can anyone with any knowledge of vintage Omegas help me identify an Omega with these characteristics? I'd much appreciate it and would pay handsomely for a good example of one.

Try the closest one you could remeber by searching Google image: "Omega green dial" and "Omega faceted crystal"
Otherwise it would be very difficult for us to help you.

Could it have been a De Ville, like this one (Google picture)? Not sure if they also came with green dial.

From the sounds of it it will be from the Andrew Grima inspired "emerald" line.

I had done the google search and have come up with nothing. From my limited memory, it looked like this (not an Omega):
