Vintage Omega Watch

Hi, I just purchased this Omega watch. Looks to be in decent condition. Looks like someone replaced the stem with a Bulova one. And part of the back case has some wear around the edges.

I am a newbie to these types of watches. I tested one of the wheels in the back and it doesn’t seem broken, but the second hand doesn’t seem to move. I can move the hour/minute hands. Any idea what this could be? I am also trying to determine the model of this watch.

Nice watch and good to have the box and stuff. That movement is absolutely filthy and desperately needs servicing.

It is very dirty. It is a nice watch. What do you think a service would run me? Any idea what model this is? Can't see to narrow it down?

The case is a US-made by Wadsworth. The dial and movement would be imported from Switzerland and then cased in the US.

It might cost you more to service it than the watch is worth, if you sold it. On the other hand, if you like it and plan to keep it and wear it for a few years, then the cost of the service might make sense.

Unfortunately, some of the movement parts look corroded. Get an expert opinion from a watchmaker to see if it can be serviced at a reasonable cost.

Thanks for all the feedback. I am going to have someone look at it next week and see what options I have.

Be aware that the dial is clearly in poor condition and the movement service which may need parts will likely cost more than the watch is worth.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t proceed but it’s worth factoring in to your decision making.
