Hi All,

I’m trying to find out more information about this watch based on the below picture. A model, period of time it was made and any other information would be helpful. Thanks!

Can't say much from one photo and no information, but likely a 1940s watch with no particular model name. Looks legit, so if it's cheap and you like it, just buy it and figure out the details later. Check the size, though.

Their watches are usually legit, but prices are astronomical.|

On this specific piece:

  • T2 movement should be it
  • dial is in original though not great condition
  • Jumbo sizes (37mm) demand price premium
-Could be late 40s or 50s

Recognized this as a Goldammer listing, they should be pretty trustworthy and all the information you need will be here: https://goldammer.me/products/omega-art-deco-roman-sub-second-1939
there's a discussion on the UG subforum.....they sold an assembled Tri Compax for 16K or something (the loose NOS case was previously on C24). There are 2 other examples of the exact same Tri reference that appear to be similarly assembled (although there are not photos of the loose cases so that is conjecture at this point). Anyhow the parts are all UG but they are completely put together, in some cases paired with a box to give the appearance of originality, etc. All three of them have service dials as well. There is no mention of any of this in the listings and they sold for very high prices, even for a completely original Tri.
So as always, do your own research.....

Typically I would, but unfortunately this was sent to me by a friend and that's the only photo she has :/. However, it does seem like someone identified it below!

Yeah that price is pretty high! I'm not overly familiar with this particular model, but I don't see a lot of these vintage Omegas going for as much as they are charging.

For a 32.5mm case the price is quite outrageous, however, it is a nice watch, and all original. It's up for £2413, which I think is around £1000 top heavy. £1000-1500 is a fairer price for such a watch.

That is more in line with what I was thinking as well. A close friend of mine sent me the watch and she was asking about it so I figured I would ask the community here 😀. They are cool watches, but I can't justify the price they are charging. I wonder who bought it lol.

Sorry if I sound a bit blunt, but if you don't know the reference, and the fact that you are even considering (or have purchased) this awful example indicates to me that you need to learn a lot more about vintage Omegas before you waste your money.

Start by reading up on things. This is a good place to begin:
