Does anyone have any information on the above? My dad purchased it years ago from a store going out of business in toronto due to retirement. From what i was told, it is from the 70's, but i have no idea.

Forum etiquette is to be more polite in your questions.
Include some pics of the clock works would be good.
Ebay would be your best bet for value.

I would suggest that if there is any interest, you may get a private message. You would need 200 posts in order to be able to sell on the message board.
thanks. I don't really need to sell. Was more so looking for help on any information someone might have with the piece or a value they would put it at?

Was i being rude by any of my questions? i don't think so, but if you could let me know how i was, that would help. I have already checked ebay with no success sadly.

Those who frequent the message board don’t appreciate “hit-and-run” posts which pop up out of nowhere, ask for value, then “poof”, they’re gone!

i can understand that, i have tried looking up value for this for a little bit now and was tying to do some research and found this group. thought it might be the best avenue for help and if a true collector was interested, perfect. I collect and sell other sports memorabilia and forums like this are the ones that are the most helpful usually. Hence why i joined and sent a post about it.

Not high value. The earlier "exact time" dealer display clocks (i.e. from the '50s) have much higher value. Also, I am skeptical of the originality of the hands on the one that you show.

Advertising clocks are a fun collectible. The higher value ones tend to be rare/old, in categories that crossover like oil/gas, automotive, etc. Not many watch company advertising clocks have a lot of value, in part because they were not manufactured by the watch companies themselves.

As far as an example of an advertising clock is concerned, I’d put this in the $100 to $150 range if it’s working, and taking into account the damage lower left. There are watch collectors (like me) who enjoy this accessory stuff. Have to say that this is not a particularly appealing clock, though.

Your best bet to sell it in Canada is on Kijiji. I suppose Facebook is also an option, but I’ve never used it so don’t really know.

Do have a photo of the movement? Is it quartz, electric, or mechanical?

Not rude, just not very polite with an introduction ,chit chat and such. Just asking for info and value makes us feel so cheap.

Nope, Quartz movement.....says so right on the thingy

With no name of manufacturer, I'd bet a hobbyist made it

Sorry, unlikely to be an Omega product, and worth virtually nothing to any discerning collector.

I had my doubts from the start but the intruiging thing is that the fonts are quite good

I think the case is original, many display clocks were manufactured for various brands by companies that specialised in this niche.

The dial is quite well done and I suspect that the original movement (possibly a Portescap) has been replaced by a modern $10 Takane quartz movement, thus the hands being at odds with the design of the dial.

Value? Not a lot I'm afraid, $20 if somebody liked it enough.
