hello folks, Have been offered this watch for 1k USD. I love the simple design and seriously considering the purchase but don't know too much about the model. I believe the dial is untouched. Any Comments and concerns welcome that would help me decide. Is it overpriced ? Thanks guys!
Movement certainly has issues - that does not in any way resemble a proper rather wheel screw... Hard to see, but this makes me think there is an issue with the barrel arbor as well the way it appears to be almost "clamping" the ratchet wheel in place. Also the case screw in the bottom left of the above image is wrong. Watch has certainly seen some moisture as some evidence of previous rust is present. This has had some hack work done to it, so expect to spend some money getting a proper service done that will likely require parts. Now way I'd pay $1000 given the issues I see, plus what others have said. Cheers, Al
