Hi all, I have a watch that was handed down to me by my late uncle and I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about it, I've attached some photos, let me know what you think and how much it would be worth and if it is rare.

I forgot to mention that the watch is still in full working order.

Many thanks,

John

Images from OP:

The way you do this is to go to the Imgur page, right click on the picture there. If you are using Chrome, select "Copy Image Address". Then come back here to the posting box and choose that looks like a picture. Then paste the image address there and click the "Insert" button.

The image should then appear.

Looks like it just came out of a 10 rounds fight with Mike Tyson

Cal.320 chrono? Or are there earlyer two Sub register chronos from Omega?
Edit: Reading the Thread title helps. Pre WWII would out the 320 or doesn't it?
Edit of the edit:

@OP sure it's pre WWII?

Looks like a 27 Chro T1 to me ... But this movement caliber was only introduced in 1946.

I have been told that the square shapes buttons on the side identifies it as pre ww2, as during the war they were requested to have round buttons that you see on some of the newer models.

I believe every part of it original, and importantly the watch still works!

I don't think that is necessarily true, although military specifications may have called for round pusher buttons. There were plenty of non-military models made in different configurations.

Your particular watch may be pre-war. Only way to know is to have a watchmaker open it up and send pictures of the movement and inside of the caseback.

Have a new crystal installed while you are at it. You're killing what's left of that dial.
