I'm Fred from Brazil (sorry about the english). This watch belonged to my grandfather and my father. I have found it recently and it works perfectly. If it's possible, I want to have informations about it, the year, if the crown is original (looks like different from others vintage Omegas I saw) and other characteristics maybe one of you know. How can I clean it safely? I'll buy a new strap and start using it. Sorry about the pictures, I'm using a cell phone. 20170226_103703_1488116398797_resized.jpg 20170226_103719_1488116396179_resized.jpg 20170226_103804_1488116393581_resized.jpg 20170226_103816_1488116389762_resized.jpg 20170226_103838_1488116387439_resized.jpg Thank you very much!

Appears to be an early 60's model. Not sure of movement.. Linen dial with an interesting design. Dial and hands look clean, but sweep is not original.

Case is gold cap and needs a very light polish (use a jewelers rouge cloth) and movement needs to be cleaned before using full time

Crown needs replacing, so best to look for a vintage one to match the case. Once back is off. You can get the reference number and search for similar case designs to see the type of crown.

Don't buy a modern crown as it's won't match the soft gold finish of the case. new crowns are gold plated. Once you know the caliber. You can find out which winding stem it uses and size (thickness). Then look for a crown to fit stem and case tube (usually 2 or 2.5 mm).

Find a watchmaker to clean the movement

If you find a watchmaker with an Omega parts account, the watchmaker can replace parts with proper ones. Leave the watchmaking to the professionals.

I didn't mean for him to do the work.

Even with a Parts account. Still not going to get a gold filled/capped crown from Omega. They sell the same plated crowns as parts suppliers

I'm very happy with these informations, thanks for the advice! There is an Omega technical assistance in my town, I'm gonna talk to them next week.
