Good day!
Would any of your kind people be willing to help me identify the approximate value of this watch and suggestions on how to sell it?
Thank you!

That is a very nice vintage Seamaster. Check ebay completed auctions or the sales section of this site. You should have no trouble finding a buyer for that watch!

Thank you for the info –
Do you know how I might be able to identify the exact model without opening the case?

It looks to be in good condition. Do you perhaps have the reference number or number on the caliber?

Take a photo of the front of the watch showing the case and dial clearly and then do a Google image search.

If you’re serious about selling it, and you need 200+ posts before you can sell on this forum, you’ll get a better idea of price if you pay a watch repairer to open it up and photo the movement, the serial number, the calibre number and the caseback inside, and then do your research.

We can guess the reference from photos, but why? If you're serious about getting the information you need, have it opened.

I'd buy it from him. PM sent 😉 Do you really need 200+ posts after all to sell here? I mean he pretty much just listed it for sale.

Just like a ton of other scammers every day.

Alright. I take down my offer to buy it. Let's not encourage the practice of listing watches outside the "for sale" section.

I don’t know the reference number for what the number on the calibre is.
Do I have to take the back cover off to see this?

Didn’t realize what the rules were regarding selling items.
Thanks for your offer though

Yes. Just use a rubber ball to unscrew the back without damage.

Yes, when you do that you’ll be able to see the ref nr in the inside of the back cover.

I hear eBay lets you sell things online. Have you looked into that?
Thanks –
I took your suggestion and logged into eBay but apparently because my account is new there’s a $200 maximum sales.
So I guess that won’t really work.
Any other ideas? Thanks

Good advice.
I didn’t realize about the 200+ posts, I wasn’t posting with the intention of selling it I was actually looking for some thoughts or advice about how to sell it.
But thank you though-

I haven't looked into those rules recently, but I imagine it would be ok for you to run an auction.
