and out of the back of the safe came these Omega and a this amazing Longines Tre Tacche. The patina on the Seamaster is incredible/awful depending on your taste, the Mk4.5 is well worn and honest and the little tank is just lovely.

The Tank Dial is repainted. Omega sign ...
I thought so at first but comparing with many online it would appear original and slightly worn/damaged

No doubt about it.
Comparing others online I thought it was just slightly damaged/chipped. It would be consistent to the case. But, when sale comes I would always err on the side of caution, and I would certainly trust your judgement on it.

Many dress watches of this era were repainted … the cases were not water resistant, people smoked. A lot of what you were looking at on line were prolly also redone.

That’s a great point. I guess it must be getting close to 100 years old. Hoping to remove casebacks this week.
