·For sale: Vintage Seamaster 300 date model ref. 166.024, circa 1969 from some of the cues I can pick up.
$4500 US
I would call this 'survivor' condition - it's clearly been on some adventures, and while there aren't any major blemishes on the case it's got minor scratches throughout. But while it's not a museum piece, it's definitely wearable.
The only mark on the case worth noting is a small ding on the crown. But the crown otherwise screws in and out without any trouble. The bezel turns bi-directionally with ease and nice clicks - the insert is fully intact and the numeral lume is beautiful. Apart from the numerals the bezel has picked up a sandy-looking wear that IMO looks great on the wrist.
Cal 565 movement runs very nicely and the pull-out date change is crisp; service history is unknown but the caseback seal looks not-ancient and there are service marks in the caseback.
Asking price includes shipping within the lower 48. International express insured shipping is available via ParcelPro for a small extra cost; I have successfully completed quite a few sales to the EU, UK and APAC and can provide references. Returns can be accepted within 3 days if it comes back to me in the same condition I sent it in; buyer pays return shipping. The watch is located in New York and can be picked up in midtown Manhattan if you prefer.
You can view my feedback as a seller here in the forum section dedicated to that.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like additional photos. Thanks for looking!
