Hey everyone! I purchased this nice looking ladies Omega Genève at my local vintage store. I really don’t much about it nor its legitimacy, movement, date it was produced etc.

Heres what I know:
- Omega, Genève and Swiss Made written on the dial
- Made around 70s based on other similar watches I came across on Internet
- the strap does not have any marks/text/logo
- bought it for 20 bucks,
- 20mm width

Please if you have any knowledge about this partucular watch or its design please let me know, because I was going to gift it and would like to now its story since I am afraid that this is a knockoff piece and has no real value. However, I really like the minimalistic design and the pattern on the dial.

I attached some photos I found online as well which have similar characteristics

If this turned out to be real, does it have any value and what movement is it likely to have?

With that dial pattern, I’m guessing that it’s not genuine Omega, but if it’s from the 70’s then anything is possible. Let’s wait and see what our Genève experts have to say.

My only concern about giving this as a gift is that a thoughtful $20 gift could turn into a $300 expense for the recipient. Personally, I never give unserviced vintage watches as gifts.

So it is. I’m unable to read the reference number on the inside of the case back. That’s unfortunate because a Google search of the reference number would likely turn up more information. Are you able to open the case back on yours?
5110411 is the reference number apparently

For 20 USD you made a good deal if the watch it is in working condition. The case look sharp so I think the watch did not spent much time on the wrist.
