I know virtually *nothing*. That said, it's weird how the numeral 6 was half added, but the sub second dial is there ... but like I said, I know almost nothing.

There is nothing wrong with the partial number, that was quite common. Here are two examples of Zeniths, one with the partial 6 and one with partial 5 and 7:

I don't know about that particular Omega, but the hands are definitely more recent additions, or at least re-lumed. You would expect the colour of the lume to be more in keeping with the general patina of the watch.

The layout of the dial is fine. I am hesitant to call it original without higher res pictures of the dial.

The proportions and style look more like a 26.5, but those bombe lugs are right out of the 1950s. I agree, if this is the correct case, probably a 267 due to the dial curvature.

Those numerals look odd, as in, not right for this period, they are very WWII...

...but bombe lugs with that dial?

With straight or rounded lugs, I would have happily said, 26.5 early WWII ish.

Bombe (terminology via Chuck) Lyre or other names, are the name for that style of lug. They seem to first appear around 1954 on the UG polerouter, and the from about 56 on Omega Seamasters. They also appear on later speedmasters and others.

    I think so.

MSNWatch believes it is OK, so maybe this dial style was available in the 1950s. But I cannot find a reference to anything similar. Maybe he has more info.

I do want to clarify, I am not saying it is a fake or a franken, I am just suspicious - or as Desmond says, "My spidey sense is tingling". I would need to see the movement and case back as well if I were buying it.

Watch is 1940's style. Dial is original, hands are original, but relumed.

I'm thinking at 30T2 movement on this one. The 26,5 dial is slightly different.
