    Hey guys,

    I've got a 145.007.. My girlfriend is into it (on me) and has expressed interest in a vintage watch for herself. Something in the 3-600$ range, ideally. Any suggestions get at me!

    Thanks, experts.

    An automatic like a Seamaster Cal 501/552 ideally but make sure you get it on the BoR bracelet, which looks amazing on ladies and they really seem to like as well.

    Oh, geez - by the title I thought you would trade your girlfriend for a vintage Omega. I was going to ask for a picture of the goods before I decided which watch to offer in exchange. We do need domestic help around the house after all.

    This is the trouble with watch forums, if we kicked out all the dirty old men, there would only be a couple of hundred members left. :coffee:

    Nice, but just a bit too skinny. Somewhere between that & J.Lo would be perfect. Think Jessica Alba.

    BOR=beads of rice bracelet.
    Google Seamaster with 501 or 522 movement. You should find plenty of photos. Now, if we could find a photo of Jessica wearing an example, you may forget what you were looking for in the first place.

    * 552 movement - otherwise known as a caliber 552. You might also look for a caliber 591 Seamster - it was the short lived non-date caliber between the 50x and 55x/56x series, available from mid/late 1959 into early 1961.

    While I guess that it's technically a BoR bracelet, I find that the ones with the more rounded middle links look better - they are also, IMHO, more suited for 50/60's Omegas.

    Perhaps would have been a different inquiry before the wedding!
