Here is a super clean, Constellation “C” dating to 1966 with its original boxes!
Reference 168.017 is an early version, cal 561. The silver, radial brushed dial is original and flawless as are the hands and hour markers. The hazelite crystal is ORIGINAL as the Omega symbol can be seen in the center. The cyclops is underneath the top surface creating a smooth crystal. These original cyclops crystals are very rare. The case has never been re-polished as the beveled edge is still fine and the brushing is original. The case back shows that this watch has been worn, but the photographs are magnifying any flaws. The 561 movement is a 24 jewel non-quickset which came in Constellations since 1958. Case measures 35mm across, without the crown.

This watch had been sitting in its boxes to the point the strap was musty. So it received a Navy Blue Perlon strap which looks great against the silver dial and gives a light sporty feel. This watch is super clean and can go either way – wear daily and enjoy a very clean vintage watch, or archive for the collection as a saver.

The barrel-shaped Omega Constellation C was designed and launched in 1964, the third design generation of Constellation models. The nomenclature “C” is derived from C being the third letter in the alphabet.
