Long time reader, first time poster.

I'm thinking about purchasing (on eBay) this vintage Cal. 321 watch, but it looks a bit off. Listing says 18k rose gold, original dial and movement. After doing some research, it seems like it's a French case with an 18k Eagle hallmark. Crown not signed and the hands don't seem to match vintage. The movement looks pretty good though and serial number places it to 1952-1953. I was able to offer $2,750.

    What are people's thoughts?

Dreadfully over-polished case, the lugs should be angular on these French variants. A washed out and damaged dial and those hands look too large and totally mis-matched to me.....a resounding pass...I don't see anything attractive at all on this one!

Here's one in better shape, not mine I might add.

With the Watch you showed you are basically paying 2.75k for a Movement. The case and the dial are ruined in my eyes. I would search for something else, with 3-4k you can find much better pieces, that you will really enjoy on the long term.
