Hello all,

I wanted to share with you this little Omega, I don't know exactly the reference but it's a R17.8 caliber (thanks @Tire-comedon for information). By serial number 9.1 million I think the watch date around 1940. There is a number (seems to be 16) inside the caseback, I don't know what it is.
I like this dial with the blue hands.

Thanks

Is the crown original?

Hi, It's a Mod 3682, here in a 1943 French catalog (I knew I had seen it somewhere, finally found it!) :

Crown looks original (or at least correct) IMHO. All three hands are also similar to the ones pictured in the catalog. Dial is different but I'm convinced it is all original. The number on the upper case part is just a ref number to help watchmakers have the two matching parts for the case. Sometimes it is a random number stamped on both parts, sometines, like here, the number stamped on the upper part is composed of the last 2 or 3 digits of the caseback ref. The 'M' on the caliber stands for 'metal' and indicates that the caliber was cased in a stainless steel case.
A great find!

Thanks a lot @Tire-comedon !! Amazing that you could find it in the catalog.
Really interesting the explanation of the number 16 inside the case.
Thanks again.
