I received this watch from my dad. It was originally my grandfathers who received it from playing in the 1951 Rose Bowl. I’m not sure the value of it and would love any insight on what you think the ref # is or any insights at all.

It’s also missing a crown from being stored incorrectly most likely.

Let me know what you think! Appreciate any help.

From a collector's perspective, the watch has issues, which I won't enumerate because this is an heirloom piece. Suffice it to say that it does not have much value to anyone but you, and it should have tremendous sentimental value to you. It might have an Omega reference number, but equally likely is that it is a US-cased example. You would need to have it opened to know for sure.

Bottom line. In your place, I would treasure this watch above almost any other in my collection, regardless of condition and value. Maintain it well, and enjoy the history.

I love family passed down pieces. I would find a crown, get it serviced by a good independent and wear it with love.

No idea about the reference which would be on the inside of the caseback. The serial number on the movement would also help point to what year it was manufactured.
