Some better attempts at capturing the level of finishing on my two Midos with fancy dials.

🥰 Looks old and futuristic at the same time, a hallmark of great design.

It has landed, and it has me baffled! The dial is out of this world in terms of finishing and aesthetic.

The - slightly course - sunburst is lilac-grey and the dial features a circularly finished outer ring that is not applied, like I had envisioned, but in fact just finished differently to the rest of the dial. You can tell by the fact that there is no height difference to the center (or the outer edge, for that matter, which shows the original finish protruding past the ring with circular finish). The markers are applied.

I'd be very happy if someone can provide me with reference material, like having owned similar examples or period catalogs.
Also, how would I go about dating it?

What a stunner! Congrats! What size is it?

Classic 50’s esthetics, mine in GF/Chrome plate/ poor condition/display only but cool black dial and 23j movement.

Yes, I was showing the dial architecture similarity with all the rays.

Here's my 37mm ice-blue coloured Multifort with a concentric circles dial pattern.
It must have been quite an unusual watch in its day due to the dial colour and relatively large size for the period. The movement is also interesting as it features a free sprung balance wheel.

I love vintage Midos

Your Coral Star reminds me of my Multi Star I posted a picture of on the previous page. And just like mine, it seems to have the extra signature of the place that originally sold it. Am I correct?
