I bought just one month ago a vintage seamaster 120 31mm ref 566.007. I think is very nice and in a good condition (just a normal service was needed). I think it is a good start for a lady that want a nice watch and a good step too for one who want to introduce his lady to the vintage watches world. You can spend with her many hours drinking red wine and talking about the applied logo that your moon unfortunatly doesn’t had, about the long r and s, the long “indici” (sorry I don’t know the english for this word) on the dial. Those are just the premises. My though at this point is: consider that ladies are more than men and so the market should have be bigger, that men love (or are forced to love) to make gift to their ladies, why (maybe fortunatly) lady watches are less evaluated? Not only speaking about price but also for example about “prestige”. Am I wrong?

Would be nice to see a photo or two of It.
What price range do these sit in as thinking I might treat my wife to something vintage this Christmas.

This is the watch. Price range from what I saw is very large for this model. I saw it on ebay or ch24 from 900€ to 2.900€. Most of them without bracelet. Probably a good price for a good piece can be 1400€. But this is just my opinion, I can not say if it worth less or more.
    It is a self-winding caliber 681.

There is virtually no market in vintage watches for women, probably less than 1% of vintage watch collectors are women and most women although they may appreciate a vintage watch will prefer to own a new one.

If my better half is anything to go by they may enjoy wearing a vintage watch but that is different to going out and buying one. I'd also say that most vintage ladies watches are probably actually bought for them as a present by someone elase

Yes and probably they prefer quartz too?! Is also true that vintage now is very fashionable..I mean ok the market is not so big but how the difference in value between the same model for W and M can be so high? For the same model I can not think that material (sure except the caliber) is different or low quality made.

Simple supply and demand. Using the SM120 as an example, there are way, way more men looking to buy a SM120 at any one time than there are women looking for the lady's version.

It actually surprises me the prices that are asked for these women's watches sometimes although I have to say that your E1400 for a 31mm version strikes me as slightly optimistic. I'd put it more around the E750 mark

It can be, I have just done an average of all prices I saw. For sure who is selling can ask what he wants. But for example I know for sure of one sold (it was a shop) in Italy from Ch24 for 1.350€ (I was following it) AB7A489C-791D-42FD-95D0-DCA9D16767F0.png
