Funny thing, I’ve bought an assortment of really nice used swiss timing equipment over the years, for use on the job at work ( industrial engineering, time studies and such ) really nice decimal flyback stop watches without hard mounts are cheap, under 100 bucks in perfect shape for old brand name stuff, 60s Heuer, Excelsior Park, Hanhart, Omega... Cheap enough I toss them when they need a service. But throw it on a hard mount for automotive use and the sky is the limit! makes no sense.
