    Hi,

My fader left me this watch, a watch that was given to him as a kid.
My plan is to give it to my son but I would love to know more about it first.
Does anyone know what model this is? Year? Cant fint it anywhere online.

    / Thanks,
    Jonathan, Sweden.

I'm guessing 1980s or 90s maybe. How old is your father?

    Hm ok, that's strange. He's 65.

So its a Glycine quartz watch, right? Tried to googled if but no success.

It would probably be best if you tell us if it's quartz. Can you wind it up? If not, it's quartz and needs a battery.

Maybe your search was too generic try finding the model number guessing its on the caseback .

I see that movement layout, and I know what I immediately think... Even if they are owned by Invicta...

Did you try that? I normally try that before I tell people they should do something that simple. Which might be why @Dan S and I have not recommended that path...

Ok, so Ive just received a mail from Glycine Heritage department:

    Reference No:3124
Date of Manufacture: 7th December 1987
    Manufacture quantity: 500
Movement: PUW 2560 Electronic /stepper motor hybrid movement”.

Dad was clearly not a kid so I guess dementia just entered the game.. :)

It's nice that you were able to get this information from Glycine. BTW, we see this all the time where family history turns out to be inaccurate. Sometimes people get very stubborn and insistent, so you are to be congratulated for taking the news in stride.
