·Hey guys,
Thanks to @la_lusigne I was again bitten by the Zenith A386 virus. The Zenith is one of the watches I allways wanted to have but allways missed the opportunity. So this is my shot in the dark, maybe some of you have 5 of them and wants to build up an Enicar collection or your focus is in racing watches. Than this is your chance to trade your nice Zenith for one of just 500 build Enicar Sherpa Graph MK1a's, the first of the line, introduced in 1960. Back than Formula 1 Racer Stirling Moss was testimonial for Enicar and of course he got one of his examples as well.
So what do I offer. I offer you a nice, early example of the MK1a, Serial # 272.520. Overall the watch is in great condition for its age. The 40mm EPSA compressor case is still sharp, the rare Gladius hands (just half of the 500 watches had them approx and no lume is correct, its just on the tip. They are hollow so you still can see the subs when stopping time and hands are over them) are super lovely. The dial has some patina "shadows" around the markers which you just see with direct light on it. Pictures show more than you would notice on your wrist. The markers were relumed by Roberto Tarabella, since they were completly gone.
Caseback is marked correctly 5-60 in date for that reference and crown is also correct with no saturn on it (just in MK1a !)
The movement is an adjusted Valjoux 72. It was serviced last year and of course is running great.
The watch comes head only or with the attached black leather strap, if you need it.
More info you will find here: https://enicar101.com/sherpa-graph-mkia/
Pricewise I think the watches are equal (look at the latest auctions of the MK1a's in the past). I don't need a perfect A386, something in similar condition as the Enicar would be nice. I also dont have a priority in references, but it should be original.
Thanks Nico
