Vintage Ed White vs. Modern 321 - Second Thoughts?

The biggest widing issue with the original FOIS was that the crown is skinnier than on original straight lug Models. They remedied this on the New Ed White and also FOIS2. Personally I can't really tell the difference in feel between 321, 1861 and 3861 but do note that the 3313 auto movement used in the Broad Arrow Speedies feels butter smooth in comparison.
To me The 321’s have a better actuation of the chrono feel then 861’s. It’s more a precision click then a mechanical snap. The 3313 which I have is the smoothest most buttery movement I’ve ever used hands down.

Question about new vs old-style end-links…

On the old no. 6/506/516 end-links, two little tabs on the back prevent the end-link from rotating forward. What prevents this on the new style flat-style bracelet link, as I see no tabs in any pictures. Thanks.

It has that lip thingy (see the left end link here) like on the A11 50SS:

Thanks. So, I believe that preemptively answers my question regarding whether this bracelet can be retrofitted to an older Ed White case. No…

original 321 has a breguet bluesteel hairspring, which is very durable and accurate, but very expensive to use. When the succeeding speedmaster 861 was introduced with another type of replacement hairspring (along with other parts), it was way cheaper but omega's plan was to sell more speedys. The new321 did not specify the type of hairspring. But if it's the same, then either is superior version.

I don’t think the new bracelet would look good on a vintage speedmaster, especially if that watch has been polished in the past. The older endlinks are smaller and fit less flush to the case but that imperfection is part of the vintage charm.

You took my comments so personally that I hate to elaborate (even though I was clearly just saying how the watches feel to me). But fauxtina for example, is absolutely deception.
What many may not understand is that the colour of lume used by Omega with the Ed White reissue is almost identical to how the colour of the lume look back in the 60’s, when it was first applied. There are many colour advertisements of the era; the lume on the indices being a light sage green from those catalogs and advertisements.

Those that say it is fauxtina simply haven’t performed their research. Great catalogue photos. Love the style of the old adverts.
