Gold Constellations came in two types:
Deluxe had solid gold dials ( and have a separate reference number)
Standard gold watches had standard brass based dials ( not solid gold) and have the same reference number as the non-precious equivalents.

The OP watch is a standard version without a gold dial.

Most degradation of dials occurred from moisture intrusion and subsequent patination of the lacquer coating.
Gold dials are equally susceptible to this kind of degradation.

Many thanks for explaining, Very helpful (especially as they have the same ref number)

To clarify
If the watch was Swiss and non-precious, it would have 14393 as a reference inside the case back.
If solid gold it would have 14393 94 or sometimes it might have 14393/94. (Although the latter version is usually on later references)
The last ‘4’ would denote a deluxe version with gold dial.
A gold cased watch without a gold dial would still ‘only’ be a 14393.

My (no date) watch above has 14381 82 in the case back and is a 14382 because it is a deluxe with a gold dial.

As the OP watch is likely English cased, I don’t think they had a dual reference in the case back for deluxe watches.
