    Dear all,

    how are you doing?
I am trying to purchase a vintage cartier tank quartz.
I found one of them on ebay and was wondering if this seems real? I have no experiences in figuring out how real Cartier looks like. Can you guys help me out?

    thank you
    Best regards,

I won’t disclose my suspicions until you can show us what is inside the case. The works (movement). It is up to the seller to provide anyone whose opinion you solicit with the proof that it is genuine.

Some people would argue those words do not go together. Quartz is only about 40 years old at most. ( yes there is older, but it’s not what most people consider quartz)

Do a Google search of Cartier 20-61323.

The one you posted looks to be a "replica" (fake/counterfeit) as are many others with that model number.

As others have said this is a hard pass...

Cartier would never make this crap

It that dial is real, then I would be very disappointing with Cartier quality. Why would you want a watch with such a poorly made dial?

Few watches are as beautiful as the Cartier tank. I would save my nickles and dimes as long as nessary to buy a solid gold manual wind version. Everything else just seems like a compromise. If you really like the style, you can find very similar looking Seikos for a couple of hundred dollars. This may tide you over until you can get the real thing.
