This is exactly what @JwRosenthal said when he told me to buy it 👍

In editing? No, fortunately the dial is in really good condition. There was a small stain between the 10 and 11 marker that I was able to clean up with patience 😀

How does one carefully remove a stain? A useful skill.

I can’t speak to Aaron’s technique, but these dials are satin finished and very durable (thank you Singer). A swab with a bit of water or even alcohol won’t mess them up. Don’t try that with a lacquered dial like a Seamaster- you look a them wrong and the lettering rubs off

Fortunately for me it was very light and as James said, the finish of the dial is really what saved me. It’s not 100% gone but I only just learned I could have been far more aggressive haha! That’s okay though because the crystal helps hide whatever was left behind 😀

I don’t understand the words you are saying

I know, I know. But I have already violated my "this is the last purchase of this year" twice already this year. I need to exercise some inkling of self control.

Again…not understanding. Perhaps a bad Google translator.

If it makes you feel better, I just completed my 4th 'last purchase of the year'. I'm averaging 1.33 per month.

I’m on my third in just as many months 👍

I don’t think I fully grasp what the word “last” means and I can’t locate it in my dictionary… maybe I have a defective copy.

Nooo, they aren’t “real” watches because they weren’t “expensive” (we don’t talk about the cost of parts and service), so they don’t count. And it’s not like you’re buying a $5k watch..it’s just 5 $1k watches.

This was sold and delivered as not working but I can happily say I now have it up and running and it’s keeping great time! I also replaced the old but correct crown with a NOS correct crown, fabricated a bezel click spring (it was missing), and cleaned/sized the original bullet bracelet. Now just waiting for a NOS replacement crystal to arrive and this will be all set. This crystal has faint crazing that is present at the right angle. Super happy with this piece!
