Good on you @Omegafanman its a cool piece of history and nice you are taking the time to help them a bit. It can be nerve racking though I helped someone find a specialist in vintage watches and they decided to go with a place only two people told me were great. I do hope they are pleased with the outcome I’m not really the guy people should come to for any information on Rolex except for maybe how to spell it.

The only thing I would do is replace the crystal, service the movement and gentle cleaning to the case.

If a replacement bezel could be found I doubt that it would negatively affect the value, who knows maybe it was put in the drawer due to the lack of the bezel however the original owner would I am sure be appreciative of the new ( 2nd hand) bezel too.

To do anything else looses the history of the watch.
