Could tell my new watch runs a little fast.
Just timed my watch for 1 hour against a stop watch.
extrapolating over 24 hours it is gaining 2 minutes and 48 seconds per day.
    seems excessive.
whats typical for a mid '60s 564 movement?

It's all in the skill of the watchmaker. My pie-pan with a cal. 551 (non-date) is usually within one second per day. I have other Omegas with similar movements that are under 30 sec. per day.

This is just a sign that the movement requires service.

I have a 60's constellation 564 calibre that beats my modern speedmaster. If kept well serviced another fifty years is attainable.

    Your watch needs servicing.

ps - You can't extrapolate. Gains and losses vary by position and will change over the course of a day. That's why COSC checks over a 24 hour period.
