Details

• The second-generation square-cased model with an all-stainless steel case from the mid-70s
  • Earlier first gen round models and early second-gen square models had a chrome-plated case (they're the cheap ones).
• Great wrist presence at about 38mm!
• Brilliant 15 minute count-down sub-dial runs from 10 to S T A R T, moving half a digit every 30s.
• Valjoux 7737 cam & lever chronograph runs, stops and resets as it should (see timegrapher photo).
  • Don't know the service history.
• New acrylic crystal installed by me.
• New Montreaux FKM rubber strap (about CAD75)

• I picked it up from an auction on Whidbey Island (look it up) and, with the island connection, it may even have sailed.
  • Moving it on because I have too many chronographs and this one isn't getting the wrist time it deserves.

  • Used for starting sailing races.
