Vintage 50s-60s Seamaster - Looking to identify

Recently given to me by my father, but was passed down to him from my grandfather.

Based on what I’ve found so far this is most likely a gold-filled 50s-60s Seamaster with an aftermarket leather band that I’m looking to replace (open to suggestions)

He just recently had it cleaned and a new OE crown installed.

Anyone have more info on this model?

You'd have to get the caseback opened up to see what is inside. Hard to tell from the fuzzy picture and also hard to tell from the dial as it may have been repainted at some point. Pictures of the inside movement and the inside caseback will tell you everything you need to know.

Most of the information is on the inside; on the inner part of the caseback and on the movement. The dial has been restored at some point. I don't think the strap is that bad - you'll find it difficult to find a new, genuine, Omega replacement that will look good on it, as they are all pretty thick.

That isn't what is generally known as a pie pan dial by the way, those have a scalloped edge and are more usually seen on Constellation models. The case design looks like that used on the early 50s SM models like the 2577 but as noted above, the dial looks to have been replaced or repainted later so you will need to open it for a definitive answer.

For a change, I really, reaally would like focused pics. It is like people think we are fortune tellers. But I can see your fingers well. Your hand looks genuinely human.

Good to know. I was planning on having it opened up by a jeweler as I don't have the proper tools to get it open without damage. Posting some additional photos now though.

A few better pics. I'll get a pic once I get the case opened.
