·1961 - Omega CK 14702 Geneve with cross-hair dial
This watch is one that is very close to my heart, as it has been with me the longest out of any in my collection. In fact it was my first steel vintage watch that I purchased, and I guess as such the start of a long and enjoyable hobby collecting watches.
I originally bought this watch, and indeed was first interested in this particular line of Omega Geneve's as I was looking for the one watch for all occasions, and for my budget at the time I quickly made the decision to buy a first generation Omega Geneve. At this time, these initial Geneve's were made to commemorate Omegas' success at the Geneva observatory, and rivalled the constellation models in terms of their quality of finish, materials and movements. During the 1950s, and early 60s (until 1962/3) the Geneve was a high end line, and are a great opportunity to get high quality Omega without paying Constellation prices.

Dial: I think you can tell from the pictures what captured my interest with this watch, it is simply stunning. From it's rare silver sunburst dial, that so beautifully plays with the light, to the arrowhead indexes and dauphine hands. There is a small mark by 3 o'clock that you'll see in the pictures, but otherwise it is in great condition.

Case: Like the dial, the case too was in remarkable condition. This was long before I became so picky for "unpolished" examples, and hence why it has been a prominent part of my collection for so long - it is fantastic, with sharp chamfers just as they would have appeared out of the factory. At 34mm or so in diameter (without crown) it is a delightful size for a dress watch.
Movement: Classic 552 calibre movement. All working but not tested and no service history. Whilst there is nothing that brings me concern I would recommend a service by the new buyer for their peace of mind.
Strap: This case fits 18mm wide straps and will be supplied on a strap which the buyer can pick from my spares.
Box/papers: No box and papers.
