Today I am offering a very special watch - it is another of my hand wind Omega Geneve's. I am now left with just two left in the collection - I have been saving the very best until last.
This one is a beautiful 18k yellow gold jumbo example in incredibly good condition - even after my 6 years or so of ownership 😜 . It might well have been NOS when i bought it, but I am not one to baby a watch and enjoy them for what they are. As such there are a couple of dinks, but in general the condition is remarkable as you can no doubt see from the photos.
Case: The case measures 36.5mm making this the largest of the hand wind Geneve cases, it is nice and thin too making it a superb choice for your dress watch for special occasions. There are of course a couple of dinks as pictured, but you'll also note the clean chamfers that suggest this case has not been polished.
Dial: The stunning silver cross-hair dial is almost immaculate, complimented by solid gold indices and hands. The defining 'geneve' italic script sets this piece apart from the later Geneve models, as one of the top-of-the-line examples from the time. No expense was spared when it came to making this watch, from the materials, to the quality of finishing.
Movement: The 267 calibre movement is a later version of the classic 30mm movement heralded as one of the greatest movements Omega ever created. It is running strong although i have not had it serviced during my ownership so a service is perhaps recommended in the next couple of years.
THIS is rare and beautiful and *almost* perfect - a collectors dream. We all search for razor sharp pieces and know how difficult it is. it's even harder to find unpolished gold cases as they're so much softer than steel, but here we are an 18k gold unpolished Omega from the era of luxury. This has a bright and beautiful silver dial and gold indices and hands. It's all original from the dial, to the hands, to the case - even the crystal (has tiny omega logo in centre of dial).
Pictured strap is not included, but I will find one within my strap spares for the buyer so that it is ready to wear.
