Hi everyone,

My mate showed me his vintage manual wind omega dress watch, and was hoping for some more information?

I was wondering if someone could please cast their eyes over it for me?

Looks to be about 1947 from the serial, caseback is stamped 18k but couldn't see any on the case. No case back reference so not easily identifiable. Case measures ~36mm across.

The dial looks like a redial (?) - not sure. Lugs are interesting and measure 18mm.

Agree on the re-dial. I don't think the hands are correct either. Has your friend offered you the watch, or are you just gathering information for him? 1949-ish production IMO.

Redial, wrong hands, NOT and Omega case. Looks South American, not much value here.

I thought as much, it just didn't quite look right.

Not for sale, but he wanted some info for future I guess. There was a lot that didn't seem right.

Thanks guys!
