Depends on how you're using those pliers to remove them.
Another helpful response.

Here are a couple of links (heh heh) on eBay. Overpriced, but that's standard on eBay.

If you owned a stretch link bracelet you would know that you don't need to use pliers on the removable links.

Question for the OP: having done the work on the bracelet, is it comfortable to wear and more importantly does it feel secure. There is a lot of talk of old bracelets for Omegas and Rolex just not being up to modern day standards.

I get why people would want to own an original bracelet as part of the watch set, but less convinced that you would actually want to use it.

I know these talks are going on but I always wear vintage watches on vintage bracelets and never had a problem. Of course you should have a look at the links every ones in a while, if they bend or develop cracks but that's it imo.

Good job on fixing the bracelet and definitely keep the links.

That "lot of talk" about frail bracelets must have taken place long ago, somewhere else. I've never seen any mention of it here on OF, except in the "I heard ____" category like this.

Um no ... That's what they are going for now. 😲 (Unless you have insider friends who are sitting on a pile of these)
