The movement is a genuine Omega movement and dates to the early 1930's. The dial is refinished and I am guessing the crown is a replacement.

    Hi,
this is a caliber 26.5SOB in a CK 816 case. One of the most common 26.5. As JoeK. already said, dial is refinished. I'm alos not sure that the hands are original. Price is not bis but you sure can find better condition for this model.

Yes it could have been many years ago. Unless I'm wrong it was part of the normal maintenance for a watchmaker to have the dial refinished when damaged.
Do you have a better picture of the dial (i.e. without the bezel and crystal)?

They sure are Omega, but I although I saw them on earlier 26.5 SOB models (mod 800 or 710), I don't remember to have seen them on the ref CK 816. I'll check in my catalogs.

A good sound one. Produced for a very long time in different versions. This one is, unless I'm wrong, the first version (before the T1). Less inovative than the 23.4SC, but IMHO everyone who likes Omega before 1950 should have at least one 26.5 (but in good condition) in his collection. The one you showed can be considered for parts or as a project.
