Sorry for the poor contrasting pics - but all I have to work on at the moment. Does this look like verdigris to you or just grime - it looks to me to be green. Is it reasonably common to find verdigris build up on pusher rods on an older Omega, in this instance a 145.022. Don't have the watch in my hands so not 100% positive of what it is. Anyway, if it is verdigris should it be cleaned or left as is? I don't mind it, but at the same time I wouldn't like it to create problems down the track.
I had some on one of my chrono's. I got some fine yarn (knitting wool) and did the dental floss trick. In one side, around and out the other side and reverse sides every now and again. Gentle pressure and keep using new yarn and it cleans it nicely. For the final run you could add a small drop of oil to the yarn.
