I swear, the more time I spend looking — and looking closely — the more it feels like everything’s a redial. And, I’m not talking about all of those black dialed 50’s watches either, although they irritate me too. It must be my eyes. A couple of examples from eBay at the moment that caught my irritation. I’m hoping you’ll all reassure me that I’m mistaken in these. (Sometimes, words fail me, so I lean on these emoticons!) But, my favorite is this little gem. It’s not just a redial but a repatination too! It even has an original crown. I thought of getting this watch just as a curiosity. But not for $749 or best offer. From sellers ad: Thank goodness some of it is funny, because mostly it’s sad. Sorry. I feel better now that I’ve got that off my chest. Oh, if you’re reading this, Mr. Squirrel, I still lack focus, obviously. Still miss you too. Writing this thread made me think of you.
I guess the last one is the winner. And it deserves respect when someone gets it so by hand. I noticed the colour of the lume matches that of this nice little puke emoticon perfectly...
Seems you have “ look at them all syndrome “ Pick one watch and look for the best example you can. That way you learn more about condition and you get away from looking at redials Or in the words of the squirrel to someone years ago with a similar comment “ up your budget boy “
I got a bit of advice via PM after I got into a kerfuffle over a dial’s legitimacy. Take a break.... we look at so many dials, after a while they all blend together.
I miss D around here too. I recently made private enquiries about him to a mutual friend and was told he is well.
