That's pretty awesome. I think my wife would lock me in the bathroom for the entirety of the trip if there was an Omega shop onboard!

Enjoy the cruise!!

Cruises price matching Joma would be nice. Do you also avoid US retail tax?

If I would be stuck on a ship with a omega boutique my wallet would go empty

The price paid is the final price. You are supposed to declare the items to Customs when you get back to the US, but I've never seen anyone actually do this. I have a sister-in-law that used to be a customs agent at JFK, they were NOT interested in somebody coming off a plane from Geneva wearing a new Rolex, they were looking for cash and drugs coming off planes from less savory locations. One time I was behind a woman clearing customs in Newark and she declared some expensive cashmere items from the UK. The customs agent told her directly, "I have to charge you now because you declared them, but next time just put them in your bag". Another time my wife and I came back from Australia with a couple of cases of wine packed in styro containers packed in a big duffel bag. Declared them but after two or three minutes of the agent looking through the six inch customs guide he closed it, stamped the form and said "Have a nice day". They really aren't interested in your new Omega watch, if you feel the need to declare it you can certainly do so.

And here’s the Rolex display. 😀

Same set up as Sydney Airport a few months ago. 3 watches, that’s all.

Man. That's a good omega collection in a cruise ship!

I got "lucky" last time. They only have Invictas and Citizens so no damage done 😀

Bon voyage!

Oasis of the Seas had Rolex, Tag Heuer, Longines, Omega, Breitling amongst others in their main Watch store (Regalia was the stores name, and then had a selection of cheaper options with ‘up to 75% off ‘ in the main walk through promenade eg Citizen, Bulova Invictus etc ..

They said they would price match any price on land both in person and on a poster although didn’t mention the internet however the prices where not tagged on the watches and when asked how much they clocked it up on the stores computer.

Ended up with this little beauty. Not from the ship though. That’s a story for later.

If you have not done your pricing homework. This will end in tears. Don’t if you have not.

Congrats! It looks fantastic 👍

I used to have the 8500 with the orange numerals with grey bezel. I always thought the orange looks a bit out of place. I know I could have gone with an orange bezel, but that would be too much for me.

This combo works a lot better in my opinion. Just enough orange to tie the bezel and the dial together, and not too flashy.

I bet it looks great with a bracelet as well.

Thanks, I think it looks fantastic too.
I haven’t put on the metal bracelet yet, I’m liking the rubber strap at the moment.

I used to have the chronograph 9300 version, and the orange bezel on that generation PO was a real special eye-catcher.

Ever since the launch of the Planet Ocean, in 2005, the brand has always had an inextricable connection with the colour orange. It was this that first drew me to the brand, and part of why I still love the watches today.

Apparently, orange is one of the easiest colours to see underwater. I think this was claimed by Omega when first launched.
