Chinese made Watches with different Labels become 35 plus % more expensive because of your Leaders love of Tariffs ? Overseas Auction/eBay buys 25 plus % more expensive as well ?

Not sure they will come into effect on small personnel purchases.

Applied to large business imports and will be applied by other countries on US exports

Impossible to say what will happen.

Nothing makes sense to me.

If there's actually a 25% tariff on goods from Mexico, Canada and China, I can't imagine watch sales will be unaffected, even if there are no tarrif fees added to them.

Way too soon to determine what will happen, a lot of this is posturing and negotiating. Any action is two months away.

So if the "proposed" 10% Tariff is imposed on January 20 for goods made in China, the cost of watches imported from China will increase 35%+?

10% on top of the existing Tariffs, was my understanding.

China will pay the tariffs.
Wishful thinking. The Consumers have to pay in the end . The good part is, that the USA has nothing of interest to trade to put into balance by retaliation. But urgently need things like Rare Earths , rare metals, Uranium and then some ...

Back to Watches and Price increases. Does anybody has insight, what Tariff steps might be next and how it will impact Omega/Rolex/ .... Retail Prices ?
Btw: It will not help the USA cost of living crisis , to deport a few million undocumented migrants , that work for $5/Hour with no health insurance and perks. No American will pick the veggies , fruits and do hard work for peanuts to fill the void. So, basic Capitalism says: consumer pays and prices go up to maintain profits. Prices up = unhappy Voters .

You have 50% of Americans you do not need to convince and 50% of Americans you cannot convince.

It's not that bad. Most Voters voted with their Hip Pocket. And they will not forget, when their hopes get squashed . Which will happen.
So , we will enjoy your ride and tune out a lot. Too much Drama is coming up.

Inevitable that this turned political, so time to shut it down. Half the country just refuses to understand why the vote went the way it did.

At this point, I think everyone understands why the vote went the way it did, the exit polling has been extremely thorough. Many people are angry about high prices and immigration, they feel that democrats are too "woke" and elitist, they feel that "their country" is being taken away from them, and a few other things that are secondary.

The issue being discussed here (which is also political, to be fair), is that there's little evidence that the half who voted for the winner are really interested in tariffs and some other things that Trump wants to do for his own personal reasons. I constantly hear his supporters saying, "he's not really going to do that," with reference to tariffs, abandoning Ukraine, prosecuting political enemies, and many other unpopular policies that he has promoted.

Personally, when he says he's going to do something, I tend to believe that he'll probably try to do it. In some cases, there may be too much push-back, as we've already seen in one case. So bottom line, I agree with you that it's too soon to know what will really happen.

Bitcoin is near $100k. Warren Buffett wouldn't buy all the bitcoin available for twenty five dollars.

Pretty sure no one knows what's about to happen, good or not so good.
