I started this thread last year and got some good answers. If possible, lets keep it apolitical. As for me, I may have snagged a nice 105.012 (with all the fixins) that will set me back about 3 years worth of refunds. Edit to add a photo. More to come when I go pick this beauty up.
I always owe, so I'm guessing "nothing" That said I have a Speedy Tuesday coming in July (hopefully) and took delivery of a Watchco Seamaster this morning
Let me pretend to count my refund first. It's the most satisfaction I'll get before reality rudely interrupts me with the realization that I'm counting my tax dues.
I sent Uncle Sam a check for $1200 I really need to get that 16710 I've wanted for a while to make me feel better
Putting aside for downpaymen for a bigger house. I'm always let uncle Sam tax the crap out of my paychecks during the year so I can get 8-10K back. I'm not feeling that difference through the year, but it's always nice to get some back. Since our place turned out to be a giant storage for my daughter toys we've decided to bump the square footage up.
Refund? I've already sent in 3 of my quarterlies and held off on the last. Next year and as long as the individual that currently controls the Executive branch is in office I am not paying. He doesn't so why should I? Plus I refuse to pay for his "beautiful wall". Let those people in coal country pay for it with all those great new coal mining jobs on the way.
Already spent and then some on medical bills. I had to pay $1 additional in state taxes. $1!! It so didn't feel worth it.
Yup..Whatever we get back from federal, gets gobbled right up by state/local property taxes etc, especially if, like us, one lives in deep blue, tax-and-spend part of the country...
Well, I've got this guy coming from Singapore. It's a one owner 1968 Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1500. Needs a little love, but should clean up nicely.
I plan to donate my return to the military. After all, in a recent Gallup poll, 37% of Americans said that the Government doesn't spend enough on the military. Oh, and on the remote chance that someone thinks I am serious about my taxes, or that the above-mentioned 37% should be trusted with sharp objects, please contact me immediately for a great deal on a NOS, double-red underlined, ghost bezel, special CIA Black-Ops Milgauss prototype.
I haven't had a refund ever since I stopped being an employee - now it's always a big check to Uncle Sam
