We took the watch to the Omega Boutique in Thousand Oaks. The service there was incredible! Nothing but accolades for the staff. They were able to help us reattach the bracelet, and gave us a box to protect the watch. For free. Special shout out to the gentleman that advocated for us without being asked to do so. I believe he is here in the forums. Thank you! (Please let me know which one you are on here)

We still have not opened up the back of the watch yet. When ready it will be taken to LA Watch Works. We discovered that the watch still works and the chronometer hand snaps back in place perfectly. It does need a service though. It's untouched (on the inside) since 1062...

As asked, I have more and better pictures.

Nice watch. Most likely a CK2998-61/62
Thank you. Belongs to my father. He didn't know what he had. It has spent the last 60+ years "put away" because he thought it was too heavy. When he showed it to me it was in a zip lock bag.

And the watch looks great as well. You have the more special hour hand with triangle shape lume in it.

Nice! I am wearing its cousin today. Enjoy it.

Thanks! I can only enjoy it from the pictures as well. The watch is my Dad's. I am in no hurry to possibly get the watch. Odds are that I won't see it again for years. It is now safely in a safety depot box locked away. However, I am saving for one of my own.
Glad you get to enjoy having one. I am jealous.

Thank you. The Alpha hands were the clincher to say it is a 62A variant. From what I have read and watched the 62B has the baton hands. I think I like the Alpha hands better.
