Why are you showing 2 watches? The one on your wrist/in your hand and the one in the box?
Take care to not mix them up or have the seller mix them up!

Having read a ton of other posts, I got somewhat discouraged by people shunning wearing a watch of this caliber regularly.

I don't recall seeing threads where people express concerns about wearing cal 321 watches regularly. I see no problems whatsoever. Assuming it has truly received a thorough service, it should be fine. Just budget for another service approximately 5 years down the line.

No, your second photo is a completely different watch (a much more modern Speedy). But most of us figured that out and ignored it.

Ohhh sorry sorry - yes that was a new one I was looking at along with the breitling that must have been thrown in when I uploaded.

Guys, cannot express enough gratitude for all the responses and advice today. This has been about a one year hunt/research expedition and all the response here today has been remarkable.

Hi,

This watch looks great, still have fat neck pushers with original bracelet. Dot over ninety bezel in good condition too. IMO this is a great buy for you 30 bday. But I would not let them service it, you have to be very careful when some local shop try to service vintage speedmaster 321......if they replace anything, your value of watch will decrease a lot.

And last question, where do you live? 😝 lol

Thanks

Jeff

They are an authorized servicer and one of the best companies in the state. Should I be concerned about them servicing? The inside of the caseback does not have any prior service markings just a heads up to all following.

Seems a bargain indeed.
Very very nice looking, with all the markers present (bezel, dial, crown, etc...)
Any other opinions (except @eugeneandresson ) about the "very" orange index and hands color?
I never saw such a saturated orange like that, but I did not see a lot of 105012 in my life also...

The lume shade is slightly unusual for this reference imo but it's probably fine.

Overall this looks a great buy - congrats.

To agree with several others, there's absolutely nothing wrong with wearing a watch like this on a regular basis. For 5 years my daily wearer was an all original Ed White 105.003. Just make sure it's serviced regularly by a watchmaker well versed with vintage watches.

Nice job! Really great buy. Now you have bought it, which dealer was it? 😉 Might have a look at their website every now and then.

Congratulations and welcome! Very attractive looking 105.012 and beautifully faded DON to gray/blueish often seen on the -64s.

Haha I am still not sure I want to give up that information just yet - I have my eyes on a few Tudor/Breitling in their estate case that seem to be somewhat undervalued. I would like to get this Speedy an extract from the archives though. One local shop told me they need the watch sent in, but my understanding is that they only need the serial/ref. But, being from the USA - I know the process is not the same. Any tips for me?

I called the local Omega Boutique located at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. The manager asked for the serial number and the model reference number and filed the request for an extract. I believe the cost is 150.00.
