Not sure why an extract is required for this one. Correct later caseback which is inline with the number. 30k seems very fair in todays market based on the Hoodinkee sale that carried lots of questions.

This seems to be a no questions piece in decent wearable condition at a dare I say below market price.

The only thing an extract would do is verify that the movement is the one that it shipped with... This is not a later BA modified with spare parts as denoted by the correct caseback and wide oval OM dial.

All fair points….. it is just a bit odd since the seller had decided to ask for an extract and then said they could not get one.

While I am not claiming it’s unpolished, I certainly don’t think these photos are good enough to be 100% certain of that … sometimes photos can be deceiving with these cases … Hans had it in hand and would/should have noticed that.

If it can’t get an extract i would worry about a movement swap for whatever reason in the past.

Yea that’s just a can you live with it or not. I don’t know many who’d be ok with an extract less BA unless it was really cheap.

Agree. It all depends on what Hans wants to do with this piece: is it (another) daily wearer, or is it really supposed to be a collectible one (in which case, I would want to see a correct EoA and a case in decent shape).

It’s not like this is a put together piece. If it has a service or non matching movement does it really affect its value at the end of the day? This is a wearable piece not a safe queen.

I think it probably effects the monetary value significantly. Like most vintage watches. It's definitely wearable!

You should polish the s*** out of that watch...on your wrist.

Nice dial, nice bezel, enough fine surface scratches to camouflage one more so you don't feel guilty. That'd be the envy of any GTG.

It is a little wierd about the extract. Maybe an opportunity to squeeze the seller a bit more.

the movement No. begins with 28420*** is that close to original or far away?

Very close looks like it is OK , maybe the seller is a lazy guy to ask the EoA , or for a Huge circonstanciés was exchanged by another in time 861 comming form a 145.022 😀))))) but this is already a huge improbable circonstanciés but never know of course

Agreed, appears to be close... BA145.022 #333 has movement number 28420412. #518 has movement 28422487.

Things happen for a reason…. If you didn’t jump on it, it is probably for a good (unconscious) reason. The hunt continues….

Very nice example. Mikroscratches can be removed with Capecod.
Wouldn't bother for the EOA, as everything else matches, movement S/N is in the correct range. It would not make much sense to swap a 1969 movement with one from the same era, as these are very hard, if not even impossible to find.
Only one thing, as bigsom said, check for the hallmark stamp under one lug. Can't see it at the pictures.

What a pity! There's a minor upside to this; most people also enjoy the act of hunting, so, enjoy the hunt... 😉
