    Hi guys ,

I've posted something yesterday about this watch . Most of you guys told me that it was risky to get this one without a mouvement shot of the picture .
In the description , that's what we have : "
vintage omega authentic automatic man wrist watch 17 jewels in fantastic condition, only one owner, 74 years old man bought this watch and kept very well, not wearing all the time, have omega logo on the glass, have very small scratches on the glass not visible, leather strap, buckle, crown, dial, all authentic not combined, excellent condo working very good, kept the time very good, simply rare and hard to find vintage omega in this condition, thanks and happy bidding!!! "

Here is what the seller told me after sending me a few pictures of the watch : " hi, i bought the tule and i open, is 24 jewels and is fantastic, like rose gold, 552 no. have i hope this is the caliber, and only u know this info, is better machine they i discarded now wen i open, i did my best so u know now what u buying, thanks "

What do you guys think ? Seems weird ...[IMG][IMG]

    A) You shouldn't have started a new thread
    B) Don't believe ANYTHING you read in the Ebay description.

    It’s a 165.002. They came with 550 and 552 calibers.

You can research the difference but if I remember correctly they are the same save the number of jewels. The US had a tariff on watches over 17 jewels at the time.

The outer minute track might have been redone. There are multiplemdial variations on these.

That’s all the info you need to google information about the piece.

I think a partial reprint is quite impossible.

What does a past sales search on that model tell you?

If you mean from a technical perspective, then yes it certainly is. Pad or Tampon printing is very flexible in terms of what you can print - could be as little as one character of text or line.
