Hi OF, After three years inside a law office I decided to quit and position myself anew with doing something I care about, have a passion for, and love wholeheartedly: watches. The community, the people I met, the conversations I had, in person, or via the forum, meant a great deal to me in making my decision and doing the final step. Becoming self employed by going the entrepreneurial route will most likely be the biggest adventure so far for me. But the moments of uncertainty are overmwhelmed by the feeling of finally doing something with substance. Not only for me, but for all the people in the hobbie of vintage watch collecting. Online watch selling and buying can be , in short, a minefield. I set my sails to change that. Maybe a bit overambitious, but time will tell. To keep me afloat and to pay the rent while building my startup, I joined the team of a watch dealer in Frankfurt, helping him mainly with his growing Omega related side of his business. I am looking forward to keep you guys updated on the progress and my journey along the way. I‘m happy and exited that I finally had the courage to elevate my hobbie to a more serious and professional level. Thank you all for making the last three years here on OF such a great experience. I‘m looking forward to many more to come. Have a nice evening and wear your watches in best health! Max
Man, that tart must taste like s—t!!! Edit : OP, best of luck with your new start Run far away from anything that resembles anustart ...
^^^ Love this, and been having the same thoughts this week. Congratulations, mate. Let me know if there is any opportunity to support the new business from Munich. I would love to work for a worthy cause.
No not Wempe or Seiko . I‘ll give further details the next days when everything is in dry sheets. Thank you all so far for the kind comments! I‘ll check in with you guys again tomorrow. Gotta get some sleep now . Hopefully i‘m Not going to dream about Anustarts . Max
Well done Max! Good for you mate. Don't worry about being uncertain. Our most valuable commodity is time. People waste, valuable, years of there life, dragging their arse out of bed every day, doing stuff they don't want to, in the name of financial security. Do what you love doing now. No good leaving it until your back aches and your 'todger' starts playing up! Even if you make a balls of it, your unlikely to starve. Hope it goes well mate
